Today is Thanksgiving so give thanks! I got up and went for my morning walk and enjoyed beautiful start to this day with a very happy puppy! Walking with Miss Lilly is a reminder that each day is a gift and today is a day to specifically reflect on being thankful, even when life is a little tricky.
Find Some Peace
I find myself very much at peace after a very turbulent time. My girls are celebrating in their respective homes and this makes me happy. While I miss them, I am thankful they are living their lives and following their paths. I will be enjoying some time with my father and sister – precious time to enjoy as you never know what the future will hold.
Thanksgiving is traditionally a time to reflect on what we are thankful for. While we should be aware of the good things in our lives every day, today I put them down. So what am I thankful for? So many things.

Thankful….
It has been quite a year. I am thankful I am in a good place. After quitting my job in May, I am happy. I am content. Recovery from a tumultuous experience takes time and I am healing.
I am thankful Elizabeth continues to cope with her ulcerative colitis. She is a force to reckoned with and she handles so much with grace and love. I am thankful she has a wonderful husband to support her.
I am thankful Sarah is loving and surviving her first year teaching. She has chosen a difficult profession. She makes a difference every day and I am so proud of her.
I am thankful for my travels. I am so fortunate to be able to see so many things and experience so many amazing places.
I am thankful for my friends. You are numerous and I am blessed. From the people I have worked with, to my theatre buddies, my old friends from high school, Junior Theatre, college, my ever faithful dog sitter, my wonderful walking buddy and so many more. I am blessed to know you and have you in my life.
I am thankful for my puppy. Talk about unconditional love. She makes me so happy!
I am thankful for my dad, without him I would have a very different life. I am so proud and honored to be his daughter!
I am thankful for my sister. We have so much fun together and I am thankful she has made her home in Las Vegas. I am so lucky to have a sister I can also call my best friend!
I am thankful for Elizabeth and Sarah. Who would I be without you? You inspire me and make my life so much more worth living. I love you more than anything!

Take Z Challenge:
What are you thankful for today and every day? Take some time and reflect on how much in your life is good! We all face trials and difficult times, but today (and every day!) we should take time to remember there is so much to be grateful for.
I wish you all a very happy Thanksgiving. Wherever you are and whatever you are doing, I hope your day is filled with all you love. Oh, and pie- I hope your day is filled with pie too!
